Chris is a Freelance Consultant specialising in innovation and future thinking. Chris has 30 years experience in the IT Industry at ICL, HP, Microsoft and Capgemini (including head of public sector innovation at Microsoft).
His technical interest has long been in the networking arena while he has specialised in the strategic impact of ICT on the public sector, the creative industries, digital inclusion and social enterprises. He has been involved with scenario planning since the early 1990s in many sectors of the economy and society.
He is a Senior Associate Fellow at the Institute of Governance and Public Management at Warwick Business School.
He is an Associate of the Think Tank DEMOS. He has been a Trustee at the School of Social Entrepreneurs and is a Patron of the National Association of Able Children in Education, NACE.
Chris has contributed to a number of books on IT, Management and strategic issues. He is a frequent public speaker. His engagements have included world bank, British council, UN, Club of Rome, the Royal Societyand EU.
He is a Fellow of both the BCS and the RSA. He blogs on technology futures for the BCS.
